We love Carmela, she really made our day so special. We’re so grateful she was our celebrant.
When we were deciding where we wanted to get married, we knew we wanted it to be a destination wedding. We narrowed in on Italy- and once the views of Positano popped up on our computer screen, we were sold.
Being New Yorkers, it was a bit stressful with planning the details while we were all the way over in America. We opted to have a symbolic ceremony rather than civil because we didn’t want to deal with the additional paperwork once we arrived in country.
Our wedding planner, Linda at Amalfi Wedding Planner, suggested Carmela to be our celebrant. After we skyped with her, we KNEW she was the perfect person for the job. We instantly felt at ease with her, it was a breath of fresh air considering our other cross-continent interactions.
Carmela was excellent at responding to emails almost immediately and we felt we could truly trust her. As we engaged her, she was demonstrably reliable and went above and beyond in jointly planning the content, sequence and vows for the ceremony.
When we finally arrived in Italy and met Carmela at rehearsal for the first time – it felt like we had known her for years and she took complete control of the event and made sure everyone was comfortable with their ceremony tasks.
I think I would have been a stressed-out wreck had it not been for her. And for those of you who want a ceremony in English – she’s the perfect person since she’s British-Italian and speaks both languages fluently.
Now, as my husband and I look back at our wedding video – there are two things we comment on: 1. We picked the most gorgeous place to get married and 2. We love Carmela, she really made our day so special. We’re so grateful she was our celebrant.
